THE SORE SPOT POLICIES
The Sore Spot adheres to certain policies to benefit you and me in respecting both your time and mine. Arriving at least on time, if not 5 minutes beforehand, could be important and would be very nice.

Before a Massage: Please advise me of any physical challenges you may have or if you are pregnant or are in any current physical pain.
Late policy: Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, reducing its effectiveness and your pleasure. You will have missed the time in which you were late, still paying in full for the time in which you scheduled. Your treatment will most likely end on time, especially when there is another client after you so that they are not delayed.
Cancellation Policy: As a courtesy, a minimum of a 24-hour notice is required for canceling or rescheduling your appointment. If not an emergency, and it’s within the 24 hours, you will most likely be charged for your full massage session or asked not to return if not paid.
Gift Certificates: They are available and redeemable for up to three months from the date of purchase and they are also transferable.
Receiving a massage: Before a massage, all jewelry should be removed. You will be asked to undress and get comfortable on the massage table, covered up with and under a sheet before I enter the room. During your massage if any technique performed is uncomfortable to you, for any reason, let me know immediately. Communication is truly essential!

Temperature: Should the temperature in the room be too cool or too warm for your comfort, let me know and I will adjust it to reach your desired comfort level.. Draping: The part of the body being worked on is the only part that will be undraped. No massages will be given without proper draping throughout your entire massage session.

After a massage: Massage therapy promotes the release of toxins from your body’s tissues. In order to flush these toxins out of your body, it is imperative that you drink a sufficient amount of water after any massage. Drink as much water as it takes until the water passed from your body is clear. It may take you as much as, or more than, 32 oz of water for 50 lbs of body weight. During your massage you may be lying prone, or face down, for an hour or maybe even longer. This can cause dizziness upon getting up and/or the feeling of congestion in your head and sinuses. Therefore, when get up do so slowly and know that your head and sinuses should begin to clear with the aid of gravity and the help of you beginning to take in water.
Tipping: It is appropriate to tip me, but not necessary, as I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. It is your call if, and/or how much. Either way, I do appreciate your business.
